Arthur F. Fisher

Arthur F. Fisher, age 71, of Carroll passed away on Monday, August 12, 2019 at his home in Carroll.

Born on June 14, 1948 in Bona Vista, Newfoundland, Canada, he was the son of Frazer and Ethel (Durdle) Fisher.  Arthur’s father passed away when he was one year old and his mother was later married to Clarence Beyer.  The couple moved to Carroll after Clarence’s service in the military and “Artie” grew up in Carroll and attended Holy Spirit grade school and Carroll High School.  Artie was a welder by trade and lived in various locations before settling back in Carroll in the mid 1980’s.  He was an excellent pool player and enjoyed competing in tournaments.

Artie is survived by two sisters: Minnie Stead of Bona Vista, Newfoundland, Canada, and June Salamonski of Milwaukee, WI; two half-brothers: David Beyer (Judy) of Carroll and Dan Beyer (Shari) of Carroll; a sister-in-law Judy Fisher of Milwaukee, WI; and several nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his father Frazer Fisher; his mother Ethel Beyer; his step-father Clarence Beyer; two brothers: Cyril Fisher and James Fisher, and a half-brother Robert Beyer.
