Arlene L. Huffman

Arlene Luverne Huffman, age 90, of Carroll, Iowa passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll following a long illness. Born on November 15, 1919 in South Dakota she was the daughter of Frank L. and Matilda (Johnson) Reinhart. She grew up in the Coon Rapids area graduated from Coon Rapids High School. She was married to Ronald H. Huffman on October 27, 1940 at Carroll. The couple lived in Coon Rapids for a short while and then moved to Carroll. She worked for Eddie Quinn as a seamstress and later at Commercial Savings Bank for 37 years retiring in 1985. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Carroll. Arlene and Ronnie enjoyed camping and boating in their younger years. Surviving are a brother-in-law Ralph Huffman Jr. and his wife Winona of Audubon, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with Rev. Ken Ferguson officiating. Organist will be Mrs. Ellen Severin. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday. Burial will be in the Carroll City Cemetery.
