Anne Churchill Textor

Anne Churchill Textor, age 101, of Coon Rapids passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Thomas Rest Haven in Coon Rapids. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the United Methodist Church in Coon Rapids with Pastor Joyce Webb officiating. Visitation will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Coon Rapids from 5 - 7 P.M. on Friday evening. A private family interment will be held prior to the funeral service at Union Township Cemetery near Coon Rapids with Pastor Ben Ramirez officiating. Organist for the service will be Lula Garnes. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Coon Rapids and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com. Born on July 6, 1913 in Morton, MN, she was the daughter of Raymond and Grace (Kolp) Churchill. Her family lived in Minnesota until she was nine years old when they moved to Coon Rapids. She graduated from Coon Rapids High School in 1931. Anne was married to Oliver Textor on December 25, 1934 at the home of his father, Fred Textor. The couple lived in several locations with Oliver's job as a traveling salesman. They settled in Coon Rapids where they raised their family. Anne was a seamstress for many years and she also worked for Thomas Rest Haven for 14 years and volunteered for 10 years after her retirement. She was a member of the Coon Rapids United Methodist Church where she was active with the UMW. She also belonged to T.T.T. of which she was a founding member. Anne is survived by a daughter Sue Carl and her husband Monte of Omaha; a son Mark Textor and his wife Laura of Blue Springs, MO; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; a brother-in-law Keith Textor of Palm Desert, CA; and several nieces and nephews. Anne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Oliver in 1996, her daughter Marcia, a brother Judd, and three sisters: Bernice, Madeline, and Lois.
