Ann Marie Wenck, age 70, of Lidderdale passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lidderdale with Pastor William Weiss officiating. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 5:00 P.M. on Friday where there will be a prayer service held at 7:00 P.M. The casket will be moved to the church at 8:30 A.M. on Saturday where visitation will resume until the time of service. Organist for the service will be Agnes Onken. Casket bearers will be Robert Freese, Thomas Reaman, Gary Schrad, Robert Tegles, Mark VonAhn, and Randall Wenck. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery near Lidderdale.
Born on September 11, 1941 at Sioux City, Iowa, she was the daughter of Alfred and Gertrude (Staudemeier) Meyer. She grew up in Maquoketa where she graduated from high school. She then attended and graduated from the University of Dubuque with a degree in elementary education. She then attended and graduated from the University of Iowa with a master’s degree in library science. Ann worked as the elementary education librarian in the Boone school system for many years. She was married to Ronald Wenck on August 9, 1986 at the Presbyterian Church in Boone. The couple farmed northwest of Lidderdale all their married life. Ann was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lidderdale.
Surviving are her husband Ronald of Lidderdale and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
