Angela Ida Reinhart, age 86, of Yuma, Arizona, and formerly of the Scranton and Carroll areas passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Paradises Oasis Care Center in Yuma.
Born on March 4, 1922 at Coon Rapids, Iowa, she was the daughter of Anthony and Kathryn Sasges Loeffler. She married Wilbur Reinhart on June 20, 1942 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Scranton. The Reinharts were long time business people in the Scranton Community having owned Reinhart Motors for many years. Angela was the bookkeeper for the firm for many years. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Scranton and after moving to Carroll, a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. She was a member of the Verceis Club in Scranton, the Ladies Sodality of the Church, several bridge clubs and bowling leagues. As a young girl she attended and graduated from Lohrville Schools. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, bowling, sewing, playing bridge, and spending time with her family.
Surviving are a daughter Pamela Hupp and her husband James of Yorba Linda, California; a daughter Margaret “Peg” Shellum and her husband Lee of Mesa, Arizona; and four grandchildren: Kimberly Shellum, Kristin Shellum, Brent Hupp, and Polly De la Cruz; two great grandchildren: Dylan and Abby Hupp. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wilbur, four sisters: Elizabeth Herron, Mary Jacobsen, Clara Mozena, and Margaret Loeffler, and three brothers: Anthony Loeffler, Leo Loeffler, and Clarence Loeffler.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 2, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Scranton with Fr. Don Ries as Celebrant. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Scranton after 5:00 P.M. on Sunday where there will be a Christian Wake Service held at 7:00 P.M. Burial will be in the Scranton Township Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Jerry Mozena, Ron Loeffler, John Loeffler, Denny Oxenford, Steve Middendorf, and Gary Place.
