Andrew Daniel Jarlenski, age 26, of Carroll passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
Born on September 11, 1981 at Abilene, Texas, he was the son of Daniel and Patricia (Sicoli) Jarlenski. He spent most of his life in Bellevue, Nebraska where he attended the CHAP (Children Have A Potential) School. The family moved to Carroll in 1999. Andrew was a resident at New Hope Village where he lived in the Daisy Lane Cottage. He enjoyed basketball and the Day Activity Program at New Hope.
Surviving are his mother and step-father Patricia and Stephen Hanna of Carroll; a sister Marian Jarlenski of New Haven Connecticut, his maternal grandparents Alfred and Phyllis Sicoli of Niagara Falls, New York; his paternal grandfather Daniel Jarlenski Sr. of Niagara Falls, New York; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Daniel Jarlenski Jr. in 1998 and his grandmother Jane Jarlenski.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with Galen Bornhoft officiating. Organist for the service will be Susan Moore. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 5-7 P.M. at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll. A memorial fund has been established in Andrew’s name for New Hope Village and may be left at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Carroll City Cemetery.
