Allia Skye Janning, age 32, of Coon Rapids, IA, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021 surrounded by her family.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, October 11, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church in Coon Rapids. Casket bearers will be Josh, Jake, and Jesse Shirbroun, Israel and Kaleb Wiles, and Heath Wagner. Burial will be in the Orange Township Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Coon Rapids from 5 – 7 P.M. on Sunday evening. The casket will be moved to First United Methodist Church at 9:30 A.M. on Monday where visitation will resume until 10:15 A.M.

Allia was born on April 6, 1989 in Omaha, NE, and she was the daughter of Kreg and Gloria (Shirbroun) Janning. She grew up in Coon Rapids where she graduated from high school in 2007. She attended Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids and then graduated with honors from the University of Iowa with a degree in International Studies and Environmental Law. Allia was a foreign exchange student in Italy during high school and studied abroad in Italy while at the U of I. She worked as a paralegal in Cedar Rapids and then moved to Des Moines where she worked in sales. She loved to travel the world and went to Ireland with her career. Allia was a foodie and loved trying all different types of restaurants. She enjoyed growing flowers and plants, fashion, her dog Payton, and always looking spot on with her hair and makeup.
Allia is survived by her mother Gloria Dahl (Todd) of rural Bayard; her father Kreg Janning (Catherine) of Virginia; her brother Levi Brouse of Ames; her grandfather Bernie Janning of Carroll; two step-sisters: Carrie Heuton (Jacob) of Waukee and Katei Oker (Bill) of Yale, IA; a step-brother Jared Dahl (Katie) of Coon Rapids; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Allia was preceded in death by her grandparents: Merle and Sherrill Shirbroun and Sandy Janning; her aunt Vicki Shirbroun; a cousin Shiloh Wiles, and her step-grandparents Tom and Jan Dahl.
