Dale Russell Lindsay, age 61, of Carroll passed away at St. Anthony Regional Hospital on November 10, 2011.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, November 14, 2011 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father Tim Johnson as Celebrant. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 5PM Sunday where there will be a Christian Wake Service at 7PM by the Parish. The casket will be moved to the church at 8:30 AM Monday for viewing until time of the Mass. Interment will be in the Carroll City Cemetery. Organist for Mass will be Mrs. Barb McDermott and the Holy Spirit Choir will sing. Gift Bearers will be Dale’s Children, Brian, Rebecca and Jennifer. Casket Bearers will be: Russ Warnke, Dustin Warnke, Brian Hinners, Jeff Magner, Tyler Magner, Josh Renze.
Born on January 14, 1950 at Watertown, South Dakota he was the son of Russell and Belle (Bethel) Lindsay. He was married to Pat (Ricia) Hahn on July 27, 1979 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Carroll with Father McCarty as celebrant. He worked for Pound Construction Co. in Scranton from 1979 until 2002. Dale attended Holy Spirit Catholic Church. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, working on cars, watching soaps, and following his favorite team the Greenbay Packers. He also loved his dogs Molly, Lady and Angel and spent a lot of time with them.
Surviving are his wife Patricia of Carroll; a son Brian Lindsay of Carroll; two daughters: Rebecca Lindsay and her special friend Jeremy, and Jennifer Lindsay and her special friend Josh all of Carroll; two grandsons: Noah Lindsay and Brody Lindsay; six brothers: Le Roy Lindsay and his wife Lucille of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, Ralph Lindsay and his wife Betty of Hibbing, Minnesota, Kenny Lindsay and his wife Jean of Colfax South Dakota, Jim Lindsay of Des Moines, Robert Lindsay and his wife Jean of Glidden, Dan Lindsay and his special friend Deb of Carroll; three sisters: Doris Alberson of Vancover, Washington, Betty Romano of Washington and Marge LaBarge of Hibbing, Minnesoa; his mother-in-law Melvina Hahn of Carroll, and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Glenn, a sister Katherine in infancy, his father-in-law Lawrence Hahn, and a brother-in-law Don Alberson.
